Dr James Muir
MBBS, FRCS(Ed), MRCGP, AKC
Qualified in medicine from Kings College Hospital, London in 1985 and also holds diploma’s from the Royal College of GP’s (MRCGP) and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Ed).
After training in surgery, he moved to General Practice and worked in Bromley Kent as a GP from 1993 to 2002 and then Shrewsbury from 2002 to 2012. He also carries out surgical procedures, working one day a week in Shrewsbury performing skin surgery and vasectomies. Dr Muir has a special interest in diabetes and dermatology. He has also worked as a medical officer for a medical charity (see www.medic-assist.org) and serves as a voluntary doctor for oversees volunteers (www.healthlink360.org)
He is married with five children and is a committed Christian, involved in leading a local church.
Dr Tim Lyttle
MB BCh BAO, MSc, MRCGP, PgDip (Ashridge)
Tim Lyttle, trained at Queen’s University Belfast and completed his GP training in Bromley, Kent before moving to Shropshire in 2000. He has been a GP Partner since 2012 and also works as a GP with Special Interest in Drug and Alcohol Addiction in Burton upon Trent. He has recently taken on the role of GP Locality Chair for North Shropshire with our local Clinical Commissioning Group.
He is a member of the Royal College of GPs and has qualifications in Travel Medicine, Substance Misuse Management and Healthcare Leadership.
Both professionally and in his personal life Tim is passionate about personal health improvement and self-care, following a personal health crisis. Tim is now a keen runner and cyclist and an enthusiast for emotional health and wellbeing.
